Incline Public House has been on my restaurant bucket list for more than a year now and I finally made it over there! Situated at the top of Price Hill on the west side of Cincinnati, Incline Public House has an amazing view downtown.
Inside there’s a decent size bar and a wood fire pizza oven open to the seating area in the restaurant. I was immediately impressed by the beer selection, especially when I found out Three Floyd’s Alpha King was available on tap. It’s not always easy to find Three Flyod’s (a brewery out of Munster, Indiana) in Cincinnati. I immediately ordered my Alpha King- it was a no brainer.
We started with the Proscuitto Fig pizza. It came topped with caramelized onions, figs, arugula, goat cheese, and of course proscuitto.
It was pretty tasty! I love thin crust wood fired pizzas. The dough was nice and chewy and the sweet figs and peppery arugula contrasted each other nicely.
The Roasted Root Salad also caught my eye on the menu so I decided to try it.
Honestly, I was a little disappointed. The root vegetables were very thinly sliced and roasted. While it made them very easy to eat, I didn’t really get to taste the flavor and sweetness of the veggies that I was craving. However the big chunks of shaved parmesan cheese were pretty delicious.
My friend ordered the Beer Battered Fish and Chips. The fish was nice and flakey and I liked the tartness of the remoulade sauce.
I can’t wait for the weather to warm up because I’ll definitely go back to the Incline Public House to sit on their deck and enjoy the incredible view of Cincinnati with some draft beer and wood fired pizza!
