Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s everyone! I went home to Michigan and had a much needed vacation to spend time with my family and friends. If you haven’t already guessed, I come from a foodie family. Everyone helps with the cooking and definitely partakes in the eating.
Christmas cookies! Who doesn’t love them? In my pilates classes leading up to the holidays, my instructor encouraged us to work harder to make room for our Christmas cookies. Gotta love good motivation. My cousin Shelby made our traditional Christmas cookies that I look forward to treating myself to a few every year.
On the left are my favorite, Mrs. MacIntrye’s Double Decked Brownies. On the bottom layer is a chocolate brownie and on top is a coconut and almond brownie. Holy yum!! They’re my favorite. How can you go wrong with chocolate, coconut, and almond? In the middle are coconut chocolate cookies, and on the right are pecan puffs. Thanks for making the cookies Shelby!
My brother Ben also whipped up a batch of my other favorite Christmas cookie, Cherry Winks.
The Cherry Winks are sweet and chewy with chopped dates and nuts. I also love the crunchiness in the cookie from the corn flakes on the outside and the sweetness from the maraschino cherries on top.
I could eat these cookies all day but that’s probably not the best idea (I’m chanting carrots and water in my head as I’m working on this post).
