City Flea. Have you heard of it? My friend Brittney first told me about it after the she went to the July City Flea (thanks Britt!) so I knew I had to check it out.
I dragged Amanda and Megan with me (actually they went willingly) to the August City Flea since they were in town that weekend – and it was awesome!
The City Flea is obviously a flea market by its namesake, but it’s so much more! The market’s full of vintage art, clothing, jewelry, crafts, home goods along with new hand crafted pieces.
The August City Flea was held in the newly renovated Washington Park and there were people everywhere.
There were a couple dozen vendors with so many different items for sale.
There was so much to look at and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of everything and everyone.
Megan scored big with buying some t-shirt headbands, an awesome bracelet made out of a men’s necktie, and necklace with math sign pendant. Amanda got a tile with a pretty bird printed on it. I can’t believe I didn’t take pictures of my friends finds. I was just too distracted taking pictures of everything around us… Sorry friends!
Have I mentioned I’m kind of obsessed with owl’s right now? I think they’re so cute!
We didn’t eat at the City Flea because we’d just had Veggie Frittata for breakfast, but there were a couple of food trucks parked next to the market. There was even a wood fired pizza oven! Next time I will definitely go hungry.
It was so much fun wandering around the flea market looking at all the different kinds of jewelry, clothes, furniture, pictures, tiles, whatever you can think of. I definitely recommend checking out The City Flea!
