Abigail Street

Bold flavors in a charming vintage environment, that’s Abigail Street.

Their menu is designed to to share several plates with the people you’re dining with and they have wine on tap!  Can it get any better than that?

I started with the Sangria that was on special that night.  How pretty does this look?

Not to mention tasty!  The sangria had a little spice to it with cinnamon and a refreshing kick of mint.  I really appreciated that it wasn’t overly sugary and sweet.

There were so many dishes on the menu that I wanted to try that it was really hard to pick.  After much debate, we decided to start with the Sweet Pea and Ricotta Crostini.

Oh my goodness… It was creamy and sweet and crunchy deliciousness!

Then we got the Hanger Steak with caramelized brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and roasted peppers.

The steak was smoky and packed with flavor!  I think they grilled it over a wood-burning grill, possibly oak.

And finally, I had Lamb Sliders with goat cheese.

I loved the creaminess of the goat cheese with the spiced lamb.

All three of our dishes were great but my favorite was the Sweet Pea and Ricotta Crostini.

Abigail Street’s prefect and cozy for date night or a fun night out with your friends.  Just beware of your budget, although it’s very worth it, ordering lots of dishes and quickly add up the bill!

Do you prefer your Sangria spicy or sweet?

My sangria has to be sweet over spicy. I like it topped off with Cava which they do at San Chez in Grand Rapids. Come to West Michigan soon and lets get crazy zesty! 🙂
