Dill Pickle Martini

Dilltini.  It’s a snack and a drink.  Need I say more?

Every time I go to Holland, Michigan I have to stop in the back bar at BUTCH’s and have a Dilltini a.k.a. Dill Pickle Martini.  It’s tart, delicious, a little bit dirty, and you get two pickles to eat with it.  How can you go wrong?

In the glass: Chopin Potato Vodka with a splash of dill juice and Lillet – and lets not forget the pickles!

Funny thing, a Dilltini is basically a Dirty Martini with pickle juice.  I’m not really a fan of Dirty Martini’s but have an obsession with Dilltini’s….  Oh well.  To one their own.  Right?!

If you prefer fruity over dirty, the Tequila Tini is pretty good too.

In the Tequila Tini mix: Herradura Reprosado, Grand Marinier, Licor 43, a squeeze of fresh lime and lemon, and a simple syrup.

I didn’t eat at Butch’s this time (aside from my pickles) but have in the past.  They’ve got a great bar menu and dinner menu in the dining room.  If your heart desires, you can browse the wine and beer selection and take it right to your table or home.  How can you not love that?

Question: Do you prefer your martini’s dirty or fruity?

P.S. This post is dedicated to my favorite Dilltini Princess (and burrito Queen) Rachael!
